Welcome New Pastors/9 NewStarts
Rev. John Lewis is our newest pastor and is planting our ninth (9) NewStart Church in the 100th year - Fort Worth Trinity. Pastor Lewis is leaving the field of evangelism to do start this new church. Fort Worth Trinity is sharing the building with Pastor Mark Banda and the Fort Worth Templo Doulos Church at 3900 Glenwyck, North Richland Hills. Pastor Lewis has been conducting a Bible Study in the Wal-Mart lunch room on NE Loop 820 for the past 3 years. Several have received spiritual help during this time. Fort Worth CrossPointe (Rev. Danny Dyer, Pastor) had a blessing and sending service for Pastor Lewis and his wife Peggy in February. CrossPointe members are giving assistance in the Saturday evening and 8:30am Sunday morning service. Pray for this new church and welcome Rev. and Mrs. John Lewis.

LONG TIME NAZARENE PASSES
Mrs. Laura McFarlin, age 96, passed away January 26, 2008. She had been a member of the Hillsboro, Fort Worth Northside, and presently Hurts churches for her lifetime and was well known by many in the area. The celebration service was led by former Hurst pastor, Rev. Delvin Wiles. Daughter, Barbara Kosiec read a eulogy. Her devotion to the church and it's children will live on in the example she set by faithfully attending every Sunday. She loved the children in the nursery and could counted on for Bible School and revivals. She was faithful and generous in her attendance and giving. The Hurst Church gave Mrs. McFarlin the Distinguished Service Award in 2001.

On Sunday, February 2, 2008, Pastor Dale Peirce and the people of Borger Trinity presented David Hebard with the Distinguished Service Award for his many years of service to the church and it's people. David is the chairman of the trustees for Borger Trinity.

Brandon Schoenfeldt, son of Rev. Ron and Cindi Schoenfeldt (Fort Worth Northside) received an appointment to the Air Force Academy. He will report on June 25th.

Sunday School Convention
Grace and peace to you in the name of the Lord.
Earlier this year I attended the Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries International (SDMI) meeting for district leadership. We are no longer “Sunday School Ministries” (SSM). The denominational name change from SSM to SDMI emphasizes the refocus of Sunday School to purposeful discipleship.
One of the great speakers at the meeting was D. Michael Henderson, PhD. His messages were powerful and inspirational, focusing on the Great Commission to make disciples and standing on the Biblical truth that God will build His Church. Dr. Henderson is the author of three books, A Contemporary Wesleyan Theology, John Wesley’s Class Meeting, a Model for Making Disciples, and Making Disciples, One Conversation at a Time.
I’m excited to let you know that Dr. Henderson has agreed to be the keynote speaker for the West Texas Sunday School Convention on September 19-20, 2008 at Fort Worth First. Please reserve this date in your church calendars and make plans now to bring your local Sunday School team to this important event! You will not be disappointed!
